Pico de Gallo – Sandy K Nutrition

Personally, I am more a pico de gallo girl vs a salsa girl. I find salsa too mushed up for my taste. I will eat it, but I always prefer a freshly made pico.

One thing I’m not a fan of is all the ingredient choices such as canola oil vs a good quality olive oil in store bought pico. Canola is more often than not GMO (genetically modified) and highly processed. But it’s cheap, so companies will use it.

Here is my own simple recipe I use when I have the time to make my own. It’s one that will never disappoint.

1 large tomato
1 large cloves garlic
1/2 small onion
1/2 Lime.
Freshly chopped cilantro
2 tbsp of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
