10 Minute Chicken Soft Tacos – Sandy K Nutrition
How about a 10 minute home cooked meal?
So if it’s one thing I have little patience for it’s excuse making. My husband is exactly the same way. He is likely the one who taught me to stop making excuses! In nutrition, the biggest excuse I hear is “I don’t have time to cook”. I call bs.
Here is why – you don’t have to make lengthy complicated meals during the week. You can make quick easy meals using shortcuts. You can cook one meal that you can eat for two days. You can have breakfast for dinner one night and eggs take 5 minutes to make. You can cook a good amount of protein on Sunday and reinvent a new meal each day to go with it for 3 days in a row.
Bottom line – you can always have a home cooked meal.
What takes a bit of thought and time is the planning. This I will most definitely agree with. Make a plan for the week. Shop for the week. Stick to the plan. Tonight here is my dinner. I bought a plain rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods. I chopped one onion. I minced 4 cloves of garlic. I had bone broth in my fridge (I ALWAYS have some good quality bone broth on hand – great way to add nutrition to a meal). In a pan with some avocado oil I sautéed the onion for about 2 mins, deboned the entire chicken while the onion was cooking (so fast to do this with hands!), added in minced garlic with the onion, and the deboned chicken plus 1/4 cup of bone broth, salt and pepper and my fav Mexican style mixed spice called organic Chili Powder Blend by 365. Sauté for 5 mins together. I had some salsa in the fridge. Add in avocado if you like. Add in some grass fed sour cream. Add in a soft taco shell. Boom. Chicken soft tacos. Tonight my side was buffalo cauliflower. But you can make a quick salad in less than 5 mins.
Betcha that took less time than deciding what to order from Uber Eats… #cookathome #planahead#stopmakingexcuses #sandyknutrition#holistichealth #holisticnutritionist#holisticnutrition #cleaneating#wholefoodsadvocate #balancedlife#balancedliving #dinnerin10
